McDonough-Whitlow, P.C. was the prime consultant for replacing the water service, interior domestic piping, and installing floor drains in three building areas (Coliseum, Grandstand, and two race horse barns) at the Fairgrounds. Since no existing drawings were available for the Grandstand, all existing conditions were field measured and documented. Design, production of bidding and construction documents, bidding and construction administrative services were included in the scope of work. The Coliseum is a 60,000 sf building and the Grandstand seats 13,000. Work was completed on a restricted schedule due to the yearly fair and other scheduled events. Due to a power outage at the Fairgrounds during construction, the Contractor utilized generators.
