FAS 721 (County Highway 8 / Fillmore Trail) over East Fork of Shoal Creek Bridge

Demolition of existing three-span steel structure on steel piles and replacement with a three-span, 113 ft precast, prestressed box beam bridge on spill thru pile bent abutments and pile bent piers.  Piles were predrilled and set in concrete due to a rock layer. Also included was reconstruction of approximately 440 feet of bridge approach roadway, adjusting vertical grade, side slopes, ditches, guardrail, entrance, and relocation of a gauging station.  The hydraulic report utilized HEC-RAS for bridge backwater and scour analysis.

Complete engineering and land surveying services were provided including hydraulic, topographic, and land acquisition surveys, bridge condition report, preliminary bridge design and hydraulic report, environmental survey request, project development report, plans, special provisions, and estimate of time and cost.  Construction was completed under road closed conditions with a planned detour.
